As kids get ready to head to camp, health officials in Nebraska are advising that camp operators have a safety plan in place in case there is an H1N1 flu outbreak.
The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued guidelines on how to handle an outbreak.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Joann Schaefer advises that camp employees and parents should have a plan in place in case there is an emergency and how to handle an outbreak.
The report suggests that all employees be trained on how to recognize symptoms of H1N1 flu and safety practices to prevent the spread of the illness. Other tips include frequent hand washing and routine cleanings.

Shotguns, computers and equipment missing

More than 105 items totaling nearly $700.000 is missing from the Nebraska State Patrol. An audit of the agency shows that a number of laptop computers, forensic-investigation equipment, shotguns and other items are gone.
