Victims of childhood sexual abuse in Nebraska would have more time to sue their attackers under a bill from Omaha State Senator Pete Pirsch. He stated this bill seeks to help victims who endured abuse but have not yet reported it or come to terms with this horrible experience. He says actions against the victims change their life forever. Nebraska continues to receive good marks on keeping a healthy business economy. That according to Jim Clifton, Chairman and C-E-O of Gallup. Clifton says Nebraska is well ahead of other states by selecting bright, small businesses and put outstanding mentors with them. Debate on the death penalty has paused at the Unicameral so the sponsor of a bill that would eliminate capital punishment in Nebraska gathers more information on accusations that that state used deception to obtain a drug needed of lethal injection. Questions surrounding the state’s method of obtaining sodium thiopental became a focal point of the debate in the legislature. Sen. 24 hour UNMC skate-a-thon to raise awareness of Parkinson’s disease

Starting at 5 o'clock Friday afternoon, the ice rink at the University of Nebraska Medical Center will be a busy place. For 24 hours skaters will take to the ice to raise money for Parkinson's disease. Ted and Colleen Wuebben found the Skate-a-thon after Colleen was diagnosed in 2005 at the age of 52. For several years they flooded their own back yard and held a skate-a-thon to raise money for Parkinson's awareness.
