The Lincoln Saltdogs came up short for the second game in a row against Grand Prairie, losing 8-6 to the Airhogs at Haymarket Park. The Saltdogs have dropped the first two games of this series.
Grand Prairie took the in the sixth inning against Lincoln reliever Daryl Arreola (0-1). The Airhogs loaded the bases with nobody out, and a sac fly and error made the game 7-5.
The Saltdogs had one more chance to tie the game in the eighth. Trailing 7-5 with two outs Lincoln put together three straight singles, including an RBI hit by Dustin Yount, to cut the deficit to one. Grand Prairie closer James Morrison came on to strike out McFeely, however, and the Airhogs scored an insurance run in the ninth on a home run by Drew Holder.
