A pastor charged with sexual abuse in Iowa has a dark past in Nebraska. Efrain Umana is accused of sexually abusing four women in Council Bluffs.
The man had previously been accused of misconduct at two churches in Lincoln. Also, the Lincoln School district reportedly fired him from his job as a bus driver after some students claimed they were touched inappropriately.
The past allegations were detailed in a 2007 lawsuit that was settled. A couple filed the suit because they were concerned about the way the church handled their concerns about an alleged sexual relationship between Umana and their 17-year-old daughter. The church first said Umana was fired, then later said he left on his own.
