Hockey drops the puck in Nebraska this weekend

Lancers begin season on SaturdayThe puck drops on Nebraska as the USHL begins their regular season this weekend. The Lincoln Stars are on the road this first weekend, but the Tri-City Storm from Kearney will be in Omaha to face the Lancers on Saturday night.

This will be the first time the Lancers will actually play in Omaha. The team moved their games to the Omaha Civic Auditorium this season after playing the past seven season in Council Bluffs.

To help get their fans excited about the move, the Lancers are hosting a Fan Fest that is free and open to the public beginning at 5:30 pm before the puck drops at 7:05 pm.

The Lancers are the most successful franchise in the history of the USHL winning 13 championships and having qualified for the playoffs in each of the last 20 years.
