U.S. Senator Mike Johanns is coming home from Washington to meet with constituents this week. Johanns says he invites anyone concerned about health care to attend.
“There was a Wall Street Journal analysis of this bill within the last week or so and they called it the worst bill ever, that’s quite a distinction when you think about all the legislation that have come before the house through the years.”
Johanns says he agrees with Senator Lindsay Graham who says the health care bill that just passed the house is dead on arrival in the Senate.
“Lets help those who need the help, but this idea of turning 16% of our economy upside down, with cuts to Medicare, higher taxes, unfunded mandates, higher taxes for the state, is just the wrong course of action.”
