Psychiatrists and college officials are the highest-paid state government employees while a new report from the state auditor shows around 270 government employees make more than $100,000.

“Salaries are already a matter of public record, but you had to do some digging to find it, so when I came into this office three years ago I said lets make it easy for folks, lets just put it out on the internet….let the public find it very easily, very quickly.”

Auditor Mike Foley says that the top-paid employee is Vijay Dewan, who makes nearly $217,000 as psychiatrict director of the Lincoln Regional Center.
