Lancers Get Turkey Day Victory

Matt White tallied 2 goals and 2 assists while Erik Haula registered the game-winning goal to go along with 2 assists of his own as the Omaha Lancers hung on for a 5-4 victory over the Des Moines Buccaneers Thursday evening at the Buccaneer Arena.

With the win, the Lancers improved to 16-3 on the year and remain atop both the West Division and USHL standings with 32 standings points.

Stefan Demopoulos and Joe Lavin netted the other tallies for Omaha while Jeff Teglia earned his league-leading 12th victory in goal after 23 saves on 27 Buccaneer shots. Ryan Walters, T.J. Tynan, Yasin Cisse and Chris Stafne registered goals in the games for Des Moines while Eric Mihalik saw his overall record in goal fall to 4-5-1 despite 30 saves on 35 Omaha shots.

The Lancers are back in action Saturday evening when they take their first trip to Cedar Rapids to battle the RoughRiders.
