The Nebraska women’s basketball team moved up to No. 20 in the AP Top 25 thanks to their 10-0 start, best in program history. That perfect record will be put to the test on Sunday when the Huskers host #5 LSU.

The Huskers are one of only 13 remaining unbeaten teams among the 345 NCAA Division I women’s basketball schools. Last week they had double-digit wins over Creighton (69-56) on Dec. 9, and Northern Illinois (69-44) on Dec. 13. Nebraska joined the top 20 in the AP national rankings for the first time since being ranked 19th the week of Feb. 12, 2007.

The last time the women beat a top five opponent came in 2005 when the Huskers beat then #2 Baylor 103-99 in triple overtime. The Lady Bears went on to win the national title that season.
