Nebraska Democratic U.S. Senator Ben Nelson says he is not the final vote in question when it comes to the health reform bill. Nelson told reporters during his weekly conference call that he has not received threats related to Offutt Air Force base in an attempt to twist his arm.
“I have not been offered anything of value in connection with Stratcom, Offutt, or anything related to the base. This is nothing more than a blogger columnist that put it in a blog suggesting that that happened.”
Nelson says this is a case of Yellow journalism at it’s worst. Nelson also says there is no amount of money that can buy his vote. Nelson has still not issued a statement on how he will vote on the health care bill.
