It is time once again to gas up the snow blower or to make sure the shovel is within easy reach. Brian Miller is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Valley and he says the snow that is falling will be a familiar sight for a few days.

“Looking for 2 to 4 inches of accumulation mostly during the Thursday night period but the light snow will probably last into the day Friday.”

Miller says the snowfall we are seeing now will be steady.

“Total accumulations could be up to five inches but this is going to be over a 36 hour time frame.”

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for parts of eastern Nebraska and western Iowa until noon on Friday.
