Flags in Omaha will be at half staff to honor a local soldier killed in Afghanistan. PFC. Edwin Wood was killed on July 5th when the vehicle he was riding in was hit by an explosive. This is especially sad for Wood’s family as he had just returned to duty after visiting home. His funeral is planned for Saturday at a mid-town church. Omaha Mayor Jim Suttle has ordered flags at half staff in his honor.
