A Department of Transportation Worker from Missouri just finished a 26 hundred mile bike ride across several states including the State of Nebraska. The ride was to honor those who have died in the line of duty working on roads. Kris Sandgren didn’t have many compliments when it came to Nebraska roads.
“That was pretty interesting….I called Gayla Campbell once and I said there’s a huge pothole here in Nebraska can you do something about it? Nebraska was a little rough, there’s no one from Nebraska here is there?!”
Sandgren used a month of own vacation time to make the nine-state trek to raise awareness and money to honor those fallen workers.
