A 12 year old Omaha boy was hit by a school bus this morning. The boy missed his regular school bus and he was determined to get to school on time so he decided to take a city bus.
“He got off the bus at the bus stop and ran across in front of the bus into the traffic lane where he was struck by a school bus going southbound.”
Sgt. Harold Scott says the boy was rushed to a hospital in serious condition with lacerations. Sgt. Scott says there was nothing the bus driver could do to prevent the accident and no citations will be issued.
