Big Red Report: No starting QB named just yet

The Huskers are nearing the end of their fall camp, which basically means after this weekend they start the transition into game planning for their first opponent Western Kentucky. Now, because there are technically two days left of camp, the coaching staff is going to use all that time in evaluating the quarterback position.

Big Red Report on QBs

If you listen to coach Watson there, I think it becomes clear as to why the Huskers haven’t named a starter. The key is to get each of those players better. I can’t say for sure if Bo Pelini and Watson have a starter in mind, and they are just holding off on that announcement so that each quarterback continues to strive to get better while competing, but my bet would be they have a starter in mind. I would think with just two practices remaining before they start installing game plans they would have an idea as to who is leading the offense.
