Royals finishing on strong note

The Royals won again for the third time in a row, 5-1 victory over Round Rock. Brian Bannister made his third rehab start with Omaha pitching 3.1 innings giving up 5 hits.

Matt Herges (8-4) would pick up the win in relief of Bannister. Mike Moustakas hit his 14th round tripper since joining Omaha in the 8th inning. He was the front end of back to back homers, as Scott Thorman would put the ball out of the park on the next pitch. Irving Falu with a 2 RBI single in the 5th.

The final regular season game at Rosenblatt is Thursday night, first pitch 7:05. Omaha trails the Hiowa Cubs by three games and the Memphis Redbirds by two in the PCL standings. After tonight’s game, the Royals wrap up the season at Oklahoma City.
