The Lincoln Saltdogs are down 2-0 in their best of five playoff series with Sioux Falls losing 4-3 in 11 innings. Lincoln trailed 2-0 in the first and was down 3-1 in the sixth when Phil Hawke hit a two run homer to tie the game.
With the game tied 3-3 in the eleventh, Brandon Sing led off with a double and went to third on a sacrifice bunt. Lincoln intentionally walked the bases loaded, setting up a force out at any base, but Eddy Rodriguez hit a fly ball to right fielder Rafael Alvarez, who’s throw home was just late.
The good news for Lincoln, if the Saltdogs are going to rally, they would play the next three games at home, with game three Friday at Haymarket Park.
