On today’s Big Red Report, Bo Pelini gives us an update on injuries to offensive linemen Brandon Thompson and true freshman defensive tackle Chase Rome who was expected to see some playing time.
However, the bigger news comes at the linebacker position with Will Compton getting hurt in yesterday’s practice. Compton was looking forward to the opportunity of getting more playing after a season ending injury to Sean Fisher, but now it sounds like he’ll miss several weeks. Pelini fills us in on some of the details.
We still don’t know who the starting quarterback will be. Not that it should matter much against Western Kentucky. I know they have a new coaching staff, but this team ranked 118th in defense last season this program has lost 20 in a row. Still, Pelini is done answering questions about the quarterback getting short yesterday with repeated questions before firing back at the media saying he was done with QB questions and would answer any questions they had after the game.
