The final day of the Nebraska State Fair was Monday and Fair Board Chairperson Sally Atkins feels Grand Island proved to be a great location.
“It has exceeded our expectations in so many ways, not only how well the facilities have worked, but how the central location, but the turn out and support from people.”
Final attendance numbers show 309,400 people attended the fair this year. Many of the visitors were from 367,000 thousand visitors. In 2008, attendance nearly matched the numbers from Grand Island.
