The Nebraska basketball team hit a cold spell, going nearly six minutes without a point and missed 14 of their first 16 shots in the second half as the Huskers lost 69-61 to the Minnesota Golden Gophers. The Huskers and Gophers were tied at 39 with 12:27 left after Bo Spencer, who led NU with 18 points, hit a pair of free throws, but then didn’t do much, as Minnesota used a 9-0 run to take the lead for good.
Somehow the Huskers were still in the game after a three pointer by Toney McCray cut the lead to 48-42 with 6:39 to play, but Minnesota pushed the lead to 11. Nebraska is now 3-8 in Big Ten play and are back in action Wednesday against Michigan.
