Omaha will lose it’s only direct flight to Milwaukee soon. Chris Martin is the Director of Operations at Eppley Airfield in Omaha and says Frontier now has two daily non-stop flights into Milwaukee and both will end on June 1st.
Frontier made a decision to stop using smaller commuter planes across the country because of the high price of jet fuel. Martin says the stopped using their 50-seat aircrat not only in Omaha but in Columbus, Indianapolis, Nashville and Pittsburg as well.
Those needing to fly east out of Eppley do have other choices. There are carriers that fly between Omaha and Chicago and then eastward. They also connect through Detroit. Martin says Frontier also offers two daily non-stop flights to Washington D.C.
