Lincoln Stars drop first game of Western Conf. finals

Tyler Zepeda recorded three points, including the game-winning goal, and Stephon Williams made 32 saves as the Waterloo Black Hawks won Game One against the Lincoln Stars at the Ice Box in front of over 2,500 fans. Lincoln finished in first in the regular season in the Western Conference.

A.J. Michaelson scored 46 seconds into the game on a fluke goal that hit his skate and popped up into the net. Waterloo made it 3-0 in the second period before Stars goalie Charles Williams.

Game two is Friday in Lincoln. Game three is Saturday in Waterloo. Games four and five if necessary would be next Monday in Waterloo and next Wednesday in Lincoln.
