Lincoln Stars even series

The first USHL career playoff goal for Dominik Shine was the game-winner as the Stars overcame a 3-1 deficit to earn the win and even the series with Waterloo. Aaron Pearce scored his fifth goal of the playoffs to put Waterloo on the board just over four minutes after the opening faceoff. Luke Johnson responded later in the period with his first playoff goal for Lincoln. Jamie Hill scored in the final moments of the period to give the Black Hawks a 2-1 lead heading into the first intermission. Midway through the second frame, Taylor Cammarata pushed the lead to two goals when he netted his sixth of the postseason. Lincoln would come alive, beginning with Tommy Schutt scoring his first playoff goal to cut the lead in half after two periods.

Kevin Roy tied the game when he re-directed a Paul LaDue shot while on the penalty kill, the fifth playoff goal for Roy. The comeback would then be complete when Shine scored the winner with just under six minutes remaining in the third period. Charles Williams made 25 saves to record the victory while Stephon Williams made 37 saves in the loss.
