Nebraska Head Coach John Cook has confirmed that freshman Lauren Sieckmann will continue her collegiate career at Wayne State College. “Lauren is a great kid and she works really hard. We’re sad that it isn’t going to work out for her at Nebraska, but she has a great opportunity to make a major impact in the Wayne State program. We wish her the best and know she’ll do great,” said NU head coach John Cook. In a statement from Lauren Sieckmann, she said, “I appreciate the time I have had at Nebraska and the opportunity to attend the University and compete during the spring season. I want to switch my focus from being a setter to being a hitter and I think this is a great opportunity for me. I look forward to using what I have gained here as I move forward in my future collegiate endeavors.”
