Iowa’s Junior Four State Team was hotter than the temperature at Sedalia Country Club in Missouri on Thursday. In 105 degree heat, Jessie Sindlinger of Charles City, Iowa was the only player under par, shooting a 68 today to finish with a record low individual score of 135 and a team record low total score of 588 for the two day competition.
Nebraska finished in second place with a team total of 604, followed by Missouri with 618. Kansas’ team was one player short in the competition due to a player withdrawal, finishing with 652. Nebraska was led by Haley Thiele of Wahoo who finished +4 over par for the two day event and in a tie for second place overall. Danielle Lemek of Doniphan had the fourth best score on the second day, shooting four over.
