Woman dies in boating accident on private lake (AUDIO)

A 21-year-old woman has died in a boating accident on a private lake in eastern Nebraska.

The Saunders County Sheriff’s Office reports the accident occurred Monday evening when Kayla Linn of Omaha was in an inner tube being towed by a boat. The inner tube veered off and struck a boat that was docked. Linn was pronounced dead at a Fremont hospital.

The driver of the boat, 21-year-old Sean Salisbury has been charged with suspicion of negligent boating. Officials says Salisbury had recently completed a boater safety course. They say alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
