Omaha’s Myers named Triple-A All-Star MVP (VIDEO)

What a week for Omaha Storm Chaser outfielder Wil Myers. He’s only played in two games in the last six days, but picked up four hits and four RBIs and an MVP Award. Myers helped the Pacific Coast League snap a three game losing streak to the International League with a 3-0 victory in the Triple-A All-Star Game Wednesday night in Buffalo, NY.

Myers went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run scored to claim the MVP honor. The Royals’ outfield prospect delivered an RBI single in the first inning and scored the PCL’s final run after a leadoff double in the fourth. A great way to wrap up a busy week that started in Kansas City where Myers picked up two hits and three RBIs on Sunday in the All-Star Futures Game in Kansas City.

Other Storm Chasers in the game included pitchers Ryan Verdugo, who pitched the third walking one and striking out one, and Tommy Hottovy, who got two outs in the eighth. Clint Robinson struck out in his only plate appearance.
