Dangerous snakes found in Omaha home

A tip to the Nebraska Humane Society in Omaha led them to a home in Omaha late last week. Humane Society Vice-President of Field Operations Mark Langan says they were shocked with what they found inside one of the bedrooms.

They found upwards of 30 dangerous snakes including 16 rattlesnakes, cobras, pythons, black mambas and vipers.

Animal control officers removed all of the snakes from the home. They are illegal to own within city limits. The snakes were all taken to the Henry Doorly Zoo for observation and they will likely remain with the zoo.

33 year old John Foss was ticketed for harboring dangerous animals. He told officials the snakes were his pets.
