Omaha dropped by Iowa Cubs

The Omaha Storm Chasers were defeated 9-1 on Sunday afternoon in front of 6,089 fans at Werner Park. Starting pitcher Nate Adcock was hit hard and gave up nine runs (seven earned) over 10 hits in 3.1 innings on the hill. David Lough drove in the Chasers only run of the contest, the hard way as he plunked on the leg with the bases loaded, in the fourth inning.

Omaha is 58-37 on the season and hold a 16.5 game lead over Nashville for their division.  Omaha will welcome the Oklahoma City RedHawks to Werner Park on Monday in the first of a four-game series.
