Former resident accused of taking children across state line to abuse them

A former Nebraska resident has been accused of taking Nebraska children to events in Iowa, then abusing them.

Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner says 32-year-old “Robby” Schuster, formerly of Martell, has been charged with 22 felony counts of sexually assaulting a child. Wagner accuses Schuster of befriending parents to obtain access to their children in order to place himself in a position to be alone with the children.

“He was taking younger children from here to Iowa to some kind of event, and then spending the night with children in the Council Bluffs area,” Wagner says. “So, that’s how that whole thing developed.”

Wagner says Schuster has been jailed in Council Bluffs. He’s accused of assaulting the children over a span of seven years, beginning in 2002.
