Storm Chasers fall in extras

The Omaha Storm Chasers lost their third game in a row, a 7-6 final in ten innings to the Oklahoma City RedHawks. Reliever Jeremy Jeffress gave up the go-ahead run on a solo homer in the top of the 10th inning.

Doug Davis started for Omaha (58-39) and worked through 6.0 innings and allowed five hits over nine runs. Clint Robinson provided the most punch offensively for the Chasers as he went 1-for-3 with a pair of RBIs.

An RBI triple by Johnny Giavotella, a two-run homer to left field by Clint Robinson and a run-scoring double by Anthony Seratelli extended Omaha’s lead to 6-2.

OKC scored three in the sixth and one more in the seventh off of reliever Francisley Bueno, to tie the game at 6-6. Both offenses stalled until the top of the 10th when Jeffress allowed the go-ahead home run to Fernando Martinez.
