The Omaha Storm Chasers lost their fourth consecutive game at home as they fell, 10-5, to the Oklahoma City RedHawks on Wednesday night. Reliever Tommy Hottovy was hit with his second loss of the season after getting roughed up for five runs (three earned) after working two-thirds of the eighth inning.
With the Chasers (58-40) leading Oklahoma City (57-40) 5-4 heading in to the eighth, Hottovy recorded a fly out then gave up a walk, a single and a two-run double to OKC’s Matt Dominguez to relinquish the lead. Another RBI single put Omaha in the hole while an error and a run-scoring double knocked Hottovy from the game and rounded out the scoring for the eighth.
Omaha then tied the ballgame in the sixth when Irving Falu laced a double and scored on a RBI single by Clint Robinson to make it 4-4. Omaha grabbed a 5-4 lead in the seventh when Falu’s sac fly scored Max Ramirez.
