Huskers in the Olympics–update for 7/31

Jordan Larson started for Team USA volleyball as an outside hitter and finished with 18 points with 16 kills and two blocks as #1 U.S. beat #2 Brazil 25-18, 25-17, 22-25, 25-21. The U.S. plays China tomorrow.

Former Husker Chelsea Aubry, the first NU women’s basketball player in the Olympics, scored six points to help the Canadian women’s team to a 73-65 win over the host, Great Britain on Monday. Aubry, added three rebounds, two assists and a blocked shot for the Canadians. The 28-year-old Aubry is averaging 4.5 points and 3.0 rebounds as a starter for Canada, which is now 1-1 in Group B play.
