Huskers in the Olympics–update for 8/1

Aleks Maric got hit in the eye in the opening minutes and missed most of the first half in Australia’s 82-70 loss to Spain. Ade Dagundaro missed three shots in three minutes of action as Nigeria lost Lithuania 72-53. Ade and Nigeria plays Team USA on Thursday.

Jordan Larson and the volleyball team takes on China at 2pm Lincoln time.   Larson is second on the team in scoring behind former Texas Longhorns star, Desinee Hooker.

Amber Neben, a former track start at NU is running time trials in cycling this morning. Jordan Larson and the volleyball team takes on China. Also, Frank Thompson of Alliance missed the skeet shooting finals, finishing in 8th playing in qualifying, one target short of advancing and Omaha native Andy Roddick was ousted in the second round of tennis.
