The Nebraska Department of Roads is asking for the public’s help in locating the driver of an over-height load that damaged the I-680 bridge at Nebraska Highway 75 Monday evening. District Engineer Tim Weander the first bridge girder is severely damaged. There is also damage to the second girder and to the I-680 Bridge deck.
Traffic is open on both but there are lane restrictions. Weander says the early estimated cost for repairs is $200,000.
The Department of Roads is asking anyone with information about the hit-and-run to give them or the Nebraska State Patrol a call.
