The run by the Australian men’s basketball team and former Husker Aleks Maric came to an end on Wednesday, as the United States downed Australia, 119-86, in the quarterfinals. Maric played just two minutes in the first quarter scoring one point and two rebounds.

Former Huskers Ineta Radevica, a seven-time All-American and NCAA outdoor triple jump champion at Nebraska, finished fourth in the women’s long jump. Lehann Fourie qualified for the finals of the men’s 110 meter hurdles final with a personal-best time of 13.28 and finished in seventh-place finish in the final.
