The Nebraska football team continued its fall camp by competing in a team scrimmage Saturday, practicing for just over two hours inside Memorial Stadium in full pads. Head Coach Bo Pelini liked how the team competed in the first week of practice.
“I’ve seen a lot of positive things, and a lot of things that you can expect during the first week of practice,” he said. “I’ve also seen a lot of things we need to work on and get better at. But it’s about where you expect to be at after the end of the first week. I thought it was a really good first week though, good attention of detail and great effort.”
During the team’s scrimmage Pelini liked the tempo, which allowed the offensive to get well over 100 plays in and says there is a lot that is still to be decided.
“There is no one that is set in their position, that is why we are out here practicing at the guys are competing hard,” he said.
After conducting nine practices in eight days, the Huskers will be off on Sunday. The team returns to practice on Monday.
