Storm Chasers clinch second straight division title

8,308 fans came out to Werner Park to watch Omaha clinch their second-consecutive American Conference Northern championship with a 5-3 victory over the Nashville Sounds on What If night on Saturday evening. The Storm Chasers were dressed to the nines in Omaha OmaHogs uniforms and hats as they celebrated one of the final names in the Pick the Name contest from when fans had the opportunity to choose the team’s nick name as they moved in to Werner Park.

Ryan Verdugo (11-3) picked up his 11th win of the season after going seven innings, allowing two runs and punching out seven. Wil Myers, Adam Moore and Derrick Robinson each contributed an RBI while Anthony Seratelli went 4-for-4 in the division clincher.
