Implosion at Rosenblatt Stadium
It took seconds to demolish the press box at the former home of the College World Series. Those living near Rosenblatt Stadium felt tremors when the structure was imploded at 7 am Wednesday. Henry Doorly Zoo President and CEO Dennis Pate says they are anxious to move forward with their expansion.
Rosenblatt’s space will be used for parking but they are reserving a section for Johnny Rosenblatt’s Infield at the Zoo. Pate says they have already started their expansion. There will be new a new entry to the zoo sometime in November and more handicapped parking is already available.
