Republican Deb Fischer will receive national exposure during the Republican National Convention next week.
Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus has announced that Fischer, the GOP candidate from Nebraska, will speak to the convention on Monday.
No specific time has been released. The GOP will only say Fischer is scheduled to address convention delegates on Monday, the 27th, at the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Tampa Bay, Florida between 4pm and 7pm Eastern Standard Time.
The speaking spot designated for Fischer discloses yet again, the importance of the Nebraska race. Most national political publications list Nebraska as one of the top races in the struggle between Republicans and Democrats over control of the United States Senate in Washington.
Democrat Ben Nelson is retiring from public office after serving two terms in the Senate. Democrat Bob Kerrey, the former Nebraska Governor and United States Senator, has returned to Nebraska to run for the seat.
