Salvation Army in Omaha on stand-by to help victims of Isaac

Hurricane Isaac is targeting Mississippi and Louisiana and continues to move inland. Many of the victims of the storm will need help in the days and weeks to come.

J.J. Kuzma is the Director of Emergency Services at the Salvation Army and says they have been put on stand-by. Nebraska’s emergency response teams will be given about 24 hours notice before their departure time to prepare. Kuzma says when they responded to Katrina seven years ago they were ordered to bring their canteens with 2,000 prepared meals ready to serve when they arrived.
