The Omaha Illegal Gun Task Force continues to make recommendations to city officials on ways to reduce gun crimes. Jonathan Crosby is a special city prosecutor and task force member and says they would like to see the addition of one Omaha police gang specialist.
Other recommendations include more gun amnesty and by-back programs, alternative sentencing for misdemeanor gun crimes and stricter penalties for repeat offenders.
