Robots featured at Strategic Air & Space Museum

An exhibit that is out of this world goes on display Saturday at the Strategic Air & Space Museum near Ashland. Executive Director Scott Tarry says this exhibit is really two rolled into one. The first part of the display is a hands-on, family friendly exhibit that revolves around the 20th Century Fox film Robots. Tarry says kids and adults can become a robotic explorer in space and try out robotic arms.

The second part of the exhibit is shows the work being done at the University of Nebraska – Omaha, University of Nebraska – Lincoln and the University of Nebraska Medical Center that showcases research and development being done at the state level. Tarry says this includes the latest technology in robotic surgery.

The Interactive Exhibition and Innovations: Inside Nebraska Robotics will open Saturday at the Strategic Air & Space Museum. The exhibits will remain through January 6, 2013.
