It is National Cell Off Day and National Safety Council spokesperson Kay Farrell says they are asking drivers to start a new habit today. Each and every time a driver gets behind the wheel they should turn off their cell phone.
Farrell says every time a driver looks away from the road for four seconds it is the equivalent of driving the length of a football field.
Those who use cell phones while behind the wheel are four times more likely to be in involved in an accident.
