Omaha’s Benson High School Principal Anita Baldwin is remembering 16 year old Eriana Carr as a “fabulous student” who was involved in cheerleading, basketball and a member of the scholars program. Carr was shot and killed outside her north Omaha home Tuesday evening.

Baldwin says it is very difficult to work with a promising student like Eriana and then see her life tragically taken it very difficult for everyone involved. Eriana is the third Benson High School student to be murdered in the past 14 months. Two weeks ago an Omaha South High School student was killed by random gunfire.

Grief counselors will be at Benson High School for the remainder of the week offering assistance to students and staff members.
