The defensive end was leaning towards Purdue, but de-committed from the school earlier this week as talk heated up about the job status of Boilermakers’ coach Danny Hope. Purdue is 3-5 after the season started with a lot of high expectations.
Currently at Arizona Western Junior College, the 6-foot-6, 235-pound Gregory posted an impressive 82 tackles as a freshman in 2011, including nine sacks and 20 1/2 tackles for loss. He broke the fibula in his left leg after the first game of this season. The good news is it allowed him to redshirt, meaning he will have three years of eligibility at Nebraska.
