Badgers and Bulldogs on this Big Red Report–AUDIO

Wisconsin head coach Bret Bielema, who just led the Badgers to the Big Ten title with a 70-31 win over the Huskers, has accepted the head coaching position at Arkansas. Bielema replaces interim coach John L. Smith, who was let go at the end of the season. The Razorbacks went 4-8. The deal is worth six years and $3.2 million annually. Bielema was 68-24 with the Badgers, he will not coach the Badgers in the Rose Bowl, their star running back Montee Ball offers an interesting response when asked why Bielema was leaving.

Georgia players picked up All SEC honors, in all, six players were honored by the AP starting with freshman running back Todd Gurley, he rushed for 1,260 yards and 16 touchdowns this season. Put that in some perspective, Ameer Abdullah rushed for 1,089 and he and Taylor Martinez combined for 18 rushing touchdowns. They had four defensive players honored starting with junior linebacker Jarvis Jones, who had 22.5 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, an interception, seven forced fumbles and two recovered. His tackles for loss and forced fumbles leads the NCAA.
