Georgia’s Richt has a Nebraska connection–Big Red Report (AUDIO)

One of the more interesting story lines in this upcoming Capital One Bowl between the Huskers and Georgia Bulldogs, is that Georgia head coach Mark Richt was actually born in the state of Nebraska.  His Bulldogs were one play away from beating Alabama for a berth in the BCS title game, coming up five yards short on a completed pass, but Richt is not fearful of a letdown.

Turning to Bo Pelini, it seems every time there is a head coaching vacancy, Pelini’s name comes up…this time it was for the Tennessee job, but late Thursday night word started getting out that Butch Jones of Cincinnati would become the next coach of the Vols. He was third or fourth on the list. Mike Gundy’s name from Oklahoma State and Charlie Strong from Louisville were reportedly offered the job and didn’t take it.
