NU women use the three-ball to get past Wisconsin

Lindsey Moore scored 26 points and tied a career high with five three-pointers to lead the No. 25/19 Nebraska women’s basketball team past Wisconsin, 70-52, in the Big Ten opener on Wednesday night. The Huskers made a season high 12 three’s in the game.

Moore added four assists and four steals, while hitting 5-of-8 threes on the night. Emily Cady added 13 points and a career-high 14 rebounds for her first double-double of the season and fourth of her career. The 6-2 sophomore forward from Seward, Neb., also hit a season-high three-pointers.

Junior forward Jordan Hooper added 14 points, six rebounds and two steals, including three more three-pointers for the Huskers.

With the victory, Nebraska improved to 11-3 overall and 1-0 in the Big Ten, while the Badgers slipped to 8-6 and 0-1 in the conference.
