Huskers finish in top 25 of both end of season polls

Alabama wins their third BCS title in four years, beating Notre Dame 42-14 and in doing so, becomes the first program since Nebraska in ‘94, ‘95 and ‘97 to win three titles in four years. No program has ever won three in a row. The Huskers finished 25th in the AP Poll and 23rd in the Coaches Poll. Ohio State not recognized in the coaches, finished 3rd in the AP, Northwestern finishes as the highest Big Ten school at 17/16 in terms of bowl eligible schools. Michigan is just ahead of Nebraska in the AP and the Huskers have the 2nd highest finish among Big Ten schools with that 23rd ranking in the Coaches poll.
