NU football loses two commits over the weekend

Marcus McWilson dropped his commitment to Nebraska football on Sunday, tweeting he was “doing what’s best for me.” McWilson is a defensive back from Cardinal Mooney out of Youngstown, OH.  McWilson’s high school teammate Courtney Love, is in Lincoln and is a part of NU’s 2013 class.

It looks like McWilson may be leaning towards Kentucky.

New Kentucky coach Mark Stoops and former Husker coach Vince Marrow are also Cardinal Mooney alums. McWilson visited Kentucky this weekend.

Late Friday, the Huskers lost another commit.  Wide receiver Dominic Walker flipped  to Auburn, making his switch public.  The Florida native told an Orlando radio station he chose Auburn because,  the Tigers and SEC are closer than the Huskers and the Big Ten.

The Huskers still have 22 commits for the Feb. 6 signing day.
